You can now access Windows PCs from anywhere

Microsoft is on a roll.

After having launched the much-awaited ‘Windows 11’, the Redmond tech giant has now introduced ‘Windows 365’, a cloud-based service.

This service will let businesses access Cloud PCs from anywhere, streaming a version of Windows 10 or Windows 11 via a web browser.

Windows 365 will work on any modern web browser or through Microsoft’s Remote Desktop app, allowing users to access their Cloud PC from a variety of devices.

What’s this all about?

Business users and customers can instantly access their Windows Cloud PCs by streaming their Windows session with all their data and apps across devices like Macs, iPads, Linux machines, and Android devices.

Windows 365 provides an instant-on boot experience. You can pick up right where you left off, because the state of your Cloud PC remains the same, even when you switch devices

Microsoft will offer two editions of Windows 365- a Business Edition and an Enterprise Edition.

Both are powered by the company’s Azure Virtual Desktop and lets businesses configure full-fledged Cloud PCs, ranging from a cloud PC with a single CPU, 2GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage to a high-end machine with up to 8 CPUs, 32GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage.

Solving Remote Work Problems?

The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated remote work all over the world.

And Microsoft is trying to solve the problem of remote work solutions. Businesses will be able to create Cloud PCs within minutes and assign them to employees, avoiding the need for dedicated physical hardware.

We can expect the company to announce the prices for both plans once the service goes live on August 2.
