Nostalgia at its best

Remember our childhood days, when we used to work on MS Paint to draw shapes and figures and probably think that we were very good artists. That is how I recall MS Paint and its legacy.

MS Paint is available even now and it currently ships with Windows 10 as well. But it has received more changes in terms of UI and functionality.

And you won’t be getting that nostalgia feeling.

But if you want to get that nostalgia feeling by using the older version of MS Paint, there is still a way for it.

JSPaint tool imitates the old MS Paint software perfectly. It’s a free, web-based app that can be accessed on any operating system via web browsers.

If you visit the JSPaint website in your web browser, you’ll find the overall interface pretty familiar and MS Paint-like. The user interface resembles the older versions of Paint, not the ones which ship with Windows 10 or 8.1.

It also comes with a lot of unique features, making it an improved version of MS Paint. Some of the newly added features included are unlimited undo, editing of transparent images, SVG file support, mobile support, GIF creation, etc.

Here’s how to use it?

  • Open any web browser on your PC or smartphone. For this tutorial, we have used an Android smartphone
  • You can draw any shapes, objects or make some drawings.
  • To save the drawn image, select File -> Save
  • Provide a name to your file, for e.g. Sample.png and select Save.
  • The image will be downloaded and saved in your smartphone.
  • You can also play around with other options like setting the image as wallpaper, etc. And if you don’t like the classic design, you can change the theme to modern by accessing the “Extras” option in Menu.

That’s it folks.

Get a dose of “Nostalgia” by using this classic MS Paint from “JSPaint”.
